Moving to Ottawa for a position with Avanade forced me to give up a lot of my life back home. Everything was different and at first it was a hard adjustment. One of the main reasons, if not the biggest, for why I didn't head home after a few months was the support I got from my colleagues. People welcomed me and supported me. They didn't treat me like a new collegue they treated me like a friend. ATAC and social events provided a venu for those friendships to start and gave me a chance to network and seek guidance from new collegues. After being here for 6 months, I now would like the opportunity to be a bigger part of ATAC so that I can ensure new joiners feel the same sense of welcome that I got when I joined.
Since joining, Kaitlin's annoyance levels have been steadily rising. I am commited to ensuring that they continue to rise to new heights.
While I may not have a crossbow like Ken, I will continue to fight for Analysts in any way, shape, or form. Be it for more engaging events, a better onboarding experience, or nicer dinners (budget allowing).
